I’ve known Sorina since Elementary school as a neighbor, classmate and friend. Without even planning it, we ended up at the same college together, Northwestern in St. Paul, where Sorina and Jeff met and fell in love after going on a mission trip together.
Shepherd’s Hill Farm provided a picturesque and quaint backdrop for Jeff and Sorina’s wedding with lots of space for adventures. Sorina and her bridesmaids had a blast building forts in the room they were staying in the night before the wedding!
Although the unpredictable April weather pushed the ceremony inside, the inside of the barn was a beautiful setting for the wedding, and we still got to witness a glorious sunset outdoors after dinner and capture some fun, candid shots of the bride and groom.
Throughout the wedding planning with them, I was continually struck by how stunningly in sync these two are. When I asked them what they were looking forward to most about their wedding, they looked at each other and responded simultaneously that they were most excited to have the planning part over because they were so excited to just be married.
On their pre-wedding survey I asked a random question for fun- If your fiancé was a food, what would they be? I was surprised when they both gave the answer “tacos!”
Even their officiate caught on to this! He gave a similar survey and when asked what their ideal day would consist of together, they both responded that they would want a quiet day away from life’s stress cuddling in front of a movie.
Jeff and Sorina- thank you for being an incredible couple to work with, and I hope you’ve gotten to enjoy many of those ideal days in your first year of marriage!
Like many weddings, the reception included an anniversary dance. Unlike many weddings, the last couple standing had been married for over 60 years! SIXTY!
This beautiful couple rocked the dance floor all night with huge smiles beaming across their faces, putting even the younger and rowdier dancers to shame.
After the wedding, I excitedly told my boyfriend about them. His response was, “I hope that’s us at that age!” I agree. Love is inspiring, my friends!
