Lisa and Dwight had both given up on relationships when they met each other. Lisa had come out of some bad relationships, but knew right away that Dwight was different. His charming smile gave it away.
They met for their first date at the Paragon Theater in Burnsville where they cozied up on the couch by the bar and talked for hours. The staff actually had to kick them out towards closing because they had talked so long that Lisa had drifted off on Dwight’s shoulder. Talk about an instant connection!
They continued dating for a couple years when Dwight decided to pop the question while surrounded at home by their excited and hopeful children. Lisa happily said yes!
We shot their engagement photos on a gorgeous and sunny night at Centennial Lakes Edina where we all wandered and went on a paddleboat adventure.
They mentioned bringing their kids along and I thought it was a great idea. I was excited to meet them before the wedding. I didn’t expect more than 10 people to show up, but I’m glad they did. We had so much fun! All of their kids, step-kids and grandkids are super sweet and had a blast in front of the camera. I am stoked to photograph this family joining together in July.
