Northern Minnesota Cabin Weekend

Do you ever feel like you need to get out of your own space and clear your head a bit? I love relaxing weekends at home even though they are few and far between.

However, if my house isn’t clean and organized I have a hard time relaxing. I’ll look around and feel guilty not getting things in order, especially since Tony is really neat and organized, and I’m ummmmm… not always.

That’s why it was awesome to get away for a bit in the land of the great Minnesota north. Tony and I went with some friends to the Brainerd/Nisswa area and stayed at our friend’s family cabin. It was great to spend some time in a new and relaxing space.

We played games, watched movies and explored the shops and breweries in the area. We went to the smallest Brewery I’ve ever been to where they randomly had a troupe of 13 bagpipers marched in and started playing. As festive and fun as they were, it was deafening in the small space and we were glad to have finished up our drinks as they started playing.

Hopefully we can go adventuring again when it’s above 10 degrees and we can spend some time hiking around and on the water! I’m so anxious to break out my new kayak!

Typically, we do meet-ups at a local coffee shop or brewery to see if we're a good fit to have a ton of fun taking photos together. With social distancing in place, we are doing these meeting virtually.
