If you’re experiencing a bit of deja vu while looking through this gallery, it’s probably because you recognize this gorgeous couple from this session.
Troy and Danielle modeled for me last year when I first launched my Adventure Sessions. When I first approached them about it, Danielle was excited but unsure she could convince Troy to be up for it. Her friend told her that she really should do it because it would be awesome practice for when they got engaged and did a real session.
Danielle’s friend clearly knows what she’s talking about! When we started their first Adventure Session last year, they were both bit nervous as the majority of people are (including myself!) when they got in front of the camera. But after a couple minutes, they loosened up and just enjoyed themselves because they were having fun in a familiar place doing what they do every weekend- hanging out on their boat. It’s amazing what a difference it can make when you do something you love together during your session!
I could tell immediately when we started this time around that the last session had built up their confidence for this session. I hardly had to instruct or pose them at all. They just laughed, flirted, drank wine and had fun exploring the vineyard. You know the relationship is awesome when they make each other laugh so easily! My favorite people are down-to-earth, love adventuring and don’t take themselves too seriously. Basically Troy and Danielle in a nutshell.
They are having their reception at Cannon River Winery next May but they wanted to utilize the vineyard since they are having their ceremony at their church instead of at the vineyard. Their engagement photos were a perfect time to check out the vineyard! It’s incredibly gorgeous and the perfect setting for their photos since they’re big wine fans and enjoy checking out local wineries.
The vineyard is about 10 minutes from the winery, and it’s private property. You can only go there under special occasions so we had the whole place to ourselves! We started off by grilling at their house and then headed to the winery to grab a drink and see their reception space. We got the secret address from the bartender and went on our way.
I’m so happy to welcome Troy and Danielle as an official Lumos Couple! Their wedding is going to be incredible 🙂
