Justin and Anne’s wedding was 8 years in the making, and their wedding last weekend was certainly a celebration worthy of their amazing relationship.
I spent awhile talking to Anne’s sweet parents at dinner, and they said the wedding was really more of a formality at this point. They feel like Justin has been part of their family for years now and they kept gushing about how much they like his family.
I thought it was pretty telling and impressive that the first-time Justin and Anne’s parents ever met was on a vacation they took to Mexico together. They’ve actually gone on several Mexican vacations together! It’s definitely an experience that could have gone one of two ways and apparently it went really well since they’ve done it a couple times since then!
I loved all of the reminders of family history that made appearances at their wedding. Get this- Anne MADE all of the beautiful bouquets that you see herself! The intricate and stunning flowers were made with her great grandma’s organ music. Anne and her siblings were very close to their great grandma and they wanted her presence to be felt at the wedding.
Anne wore her mom’s perfectly preserved veil and used her mom’s handkerchief for the wedding as well. During her dad’s speech, he told the guests that Anne’s veil was previously worn by the most beautiful bride. Talk about legacies of love!
It’ll be fun for Justin and Anne’s daughter Addy (the adorable one in the pink dress) to look back at these photos of her parent’s wedding and see how their marriage story began and the awesome roll she got to play in it.
