My husband Tony and Zach have been friends forever. Or since middle school. Same thing, right? Zach and Dani met 4 years ago when they both worked at their company NuAire. Coincidentally, they both found out about the company through their dads who both worked there.
They started dating and I would be lying if I said I wasn’t a little intimidated by Dani at first. She was just so cool. She was the same age as my little brother but she carried herself with more maturity and poise than most people. She was confident, down-to-earth, and so freaking fun.
I later learned that she was actually really nervous the first time she hung out with Tony and I and our friends at Tony’s apartment. I had no idea!
Dani went to school up in Duluth to get her degree in social work. She and Zach dated long distance for a time while she was up there. He’d go hang out with her on the weekends, and they talked all of time throughout the weeks. On one of those weekend visits, they climbed up an overlook with their parents and close friends and Zach got down one one knee.
Dani’s bubbly, vivacious personality paired perfectly with Zach’s kind, steadfast demeanor and we were so happy for them to make things official.
Zach and Dani wanted lots of time to plan their wedding. They took two years so Dani could be done with school, live in the same town and be settled into their lives a little more by the time they got married.
They grew up and got a lot closer in those two years. They both got new jobs, Dani got her social worker’s license and they loved and supported each other when Dani’s amazing dad got sick and passed away.
When they booked me for their wedding way back then for their October 20th wedding, I’ll be honest that I was a little nervous. With it being in the later part of October, I was worried that it would be past peak colors or that it would be super frigid (I hateeee the cold!)
All of us hoped for it but nobody expected absolutely perfect colors and 80 degree weather for their wedding day! Nobody deserved an amazing wedding day more than these two incredible people. Zach and Dani- thank you for including me in your day. I am so excited to see where your adventures in life take you!
