Everything about Max and Patra’s stunning August wedding at Golden Oak Farm was amazing! They were more focused on family, their commitment to each other and having a great time with their guests than details like rings and flowers.
They actually overlooked getting Max a ring before the ceremony which his mom officiating the ceremony didn’t realize. She got to the part about presenting the rings and Max and Patra just looked at each other and laughed. It was a hilarious way to break the ice during the ceremony, and it made everyone else laugh!
It’s easy to get caught up in the little details when you’re planning a wedding (that kept happening to me!) but it’s so important to keep your focus on the bigger picture of why you’re getting married in the first place. Everything else will fall into place, or not, but those the mishaps are the funny stories that you’ll be telling for years after your wedding.
I hope you can tell from the photos how fun this wedding was! I honestly haven’t laughed that hard in a long time, and the wonderful staff made me feel like family! I can’t recommend this venue more highly. I wish every venue I shot at was this gorgeous! Almost every aspect of your day can take place outside and there are more amazing locations for photos than you even have time to get to.
Max and Patra- thank you for welcoming me into your family and for sharing your day with me! It was a blast! I am so excited for your marriage. You make each other so incredibly happy and that happiness is contagious.
- This first look was the SWEETEST! Just look at Max’s face when he saw his gorgeous bride! Makes my heart melt every time 🙂
- That one time when a llama watched in eager anticipation for the bride to walk down the aisle!
- When llamas photobomb family photo time…
- The baby llama was curious about my camera bag!
