My tires crunched over the gravel road as I pulled up to the picturesque white house on top of the hill at the end of the dirt road. As I pulled into the driveway, I saw a painted sign reading “Domjahn Farms” on one of the buildings.
As I opened the car door in front of the red barn, there was a flurry of activity from an enthusiastic dog, cats scurrying every which way and a happy fluff ball waiting to greet me. The fluff ball turned out to be an Aussie puppy, and I lost my mind! The cuteness overload was more than I could handle.
It had been about two seconds but this adventure session was already off to the best start ever. Rachel and I had been texting back and forth throughout the day about the rainy forecast and how to handle it. I am always up for rainy sessions if my couples are, but I always give the option to reschedule as well.
We decided to bring our umbrellas and rain boots and have an adventure playing in the rain at Rachel’s family farm.
Rachel and Jordan spent the time wandering around the farm laughing and goofing around. They had a trail of cats and dogs eagerly following them around the farm, and I trailed behind with my camera taking photos of the magic and stopping repeatedly to pet the puppies and say hi to the cows.
Rachel and Jordan decided to end their adventure session in the most amazingly adventurous way possible. They took advantage of the gloomy, misty weather and had a mud fight. I am really hoping there is snow for their winter wedding so we can replicate these photos with a snowball fight 🙂
